You are welcome here.

Our church has a place for everyone. Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or this is your first time, we hope to be a place where you feel welcomed. In a small town like ours, we are one big family. We want to make you feel at home. None of us here are perfect, that’s why we are a community committed to becoming more like Christ.

What To Expect

Fellowship - Fellowship is when Christians gather together to encourage each other and just enjoy being with one another.

Worship - While our worship of God extends beyond our service, during our service we have a time dedicated to singing songs of praise as a congregation. The words of these songs are normally displayed on the screen at the front of our auditorium. A microphoned song leader will usually stand at the front to lead the song. In some of our services, additional church members will also sing with microphones to help make each vocal part easier to hear and learn. Sometimes we stand and sing, sometimes we sing while sitting. Our hope is the more often you join us, the more comfortable you will become to sing along with us. Note: as you’ll hear from some of our (still beloved) members, you don’t have to be a “vocal performance artist” to sing and worship with us. God is more concerned with the qualities of our hearts than the quality of the sound we produce.

Bible Reading & Teaching - During the service someone will teach a lesson or provide a devotional thought from the Bible. Often, text from the Bible will be displayed on the screen at the front of the auditorium. If not, there are Bibles underneath many of the seats in the auditorium. Feel free to grab one to use. In fact, if you don’t own a bible, you may take that Bible home with you!

Prayer - You’ll likely see various men from the church lead the group in prayer. These men are normally selected before the service begins. Don’t worry, as a visitor, we will not put you on the spot and ask you to lead a prayer!

The Lord’s Supper - During our Sunday morning service we partake in a ritual called “The Lord’s Supper” or Communion. The Lord’s Supper is normally celebrated among Christians. When the tray of crackers and juice comes to you, you can choose to take some and join us, or simply pass the tray along. No one will correct you for making the wrong choice.  During this time we are celebrating and remembering Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. You may find mixed expressions throughout the room during this time. For many, it’s a time to reflect on how great a sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. For others, it is a celebration that each of us can experience a new life thanks to what Jesus has done for us.

Contribution/Offering - After “The Lord’s Supper” we will say another prayer and pass the collection plate around. This is a time for our members to give a portion of their income “back” to God. Our collection goes to enable our ministries in/around our church and community. As a visitor you are NOT expected to make any sort of contribution, but you are welcome to if you feel so led.

Other Questions

What do I wear? You may wear whatever you like when you’re with us. You’ll see a wide range of apparel choices from our members. Some wear jeans and t-shirts, some wear slacks and a dress shirt. Ladies, likewise, will wear everything from jeans and t-shirts to casual/professional dresses/outfits.

Where do I sit? Wherever you like! There are no “assigned” seats. If you visit more than once, try a different seat each time if you’d like!
